About the Author: Suzanne Bell, Ph.D., has a degree in chemistry from New Mexico State University and an M.S. in forensic science from the University of New Haven. She is currently a research professor in forensic chemistry at West Virginia University. Formerly, she was a professor of chemistry at Eastern Washington University. Her previous work has published in Journal of Chemical Education, Analytical Chemistry, and Journal of Forensic Science, the principal peer-reviewed publication in the field. Bell is also the author of Facts On File's Encyclopedia of Forensic Science.
