FRONTIER AI SYSTEMS PLAYBOOK Engineering, Scaling, Evaluating, Securing, and Deploying Production-Grade Artificial Intelligence By ChoiceRoyals Artificial intelligence is no longer just a tool you experiment with. It is becoming infrastructure. The companies shaping the next era of technology are not simply asking better questions of AI models. They are designing model architectures, building data pipelines, connecting agents to real tools, engineering retrieval systems, securing sensitive information, managing GPU infrastructure, evaluating model behavior, controlling costs, and creating AI platforms that can operate reliably at real-world scale. FRONTIER AI SYSTEMS PLAYBOOK was created for readers who want to understand that deeper layer. This is not another beginner guide to artificial intelligence. It is not a collection of prompts. It is not a directory of popular AI tools. And it is not a surface-level explanation of what artificial intelligence might someday become. This is a deep, practical exploration of how modern AI systems are designed, trained, evaluated, deployed, secured, scaled, and operated in production. Written for engineers, founders, architects, researchers, technology leaders, AI product builders, and ambitious learners, the book takes the reader from the foundations of machine learning all the way into the architecture of enterprise-grade AI platforms. Along the way, technical concepts are connected to the experiments, breakthroughs, engineering problems, and decisions that helped shape modern artificial intelligence. The goal is not merely to tell you what AI can do. The goal is to help you understand how the machinery works. Go Inside the Architecture of Modern AI The book begins beneath the surface. You will explore how AI systems represent information through vectors, matrices, tensors, embeddings, probability distributions, optimization, gradients, and learned representations. Rather than treating these ideas as abstract mathematics, the book connects them to the systems they make possible. You will see how a simple prediction error can propagate backward through a neural network, alter millions or billions of parameters, and gradually change the behavior of a model. From there, the book moves inside one of the most important architectures in modern AI: the Transformer. You will examine: tokenization and embeddings queries, keys, and values self-attention scaled dot-product attention multi-head attention feed-forward networks residual connections normalization positional information context windows long-context systems dense architectures mixture-of-experts systems memory and compute bottlenecks The mathematics is accompanied by visual explanations so that equations connect to the actual movement of information through the system. Understand How Frontier Models Are Built A powerful model begins long before training starts. FRONTIER AI SYSTEMS PLAYBOOK examines the massive engineering pipeline behind foundation models, including: data acquisitiondata provenancededuplicationquality filteringcontamination detectiontokenizationdataset mixturestraining shardsdistributed computationcheckpointingprecision managementparallelismfailure recoveryand model evaluation. You will follow the path from raw data to a trained model and understand why decisions made before training can determine the quality of everything that follows. The book also explores the infrastructure required when one GPU becomes hundreds or thousands. You will learn how modern training systems use concepts such as: data parallelism tensor parallelism pipeline parallelism expert parallelism distributed storage accelerator clusters high-speed networking checkpoint systems GPU memory management The reader is repeatedly challenged to think like an AI systems engineer rather than simply an AI user. ........

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
