By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Illustrated Edition
Five small seeds. One silent warning. No room for delay.
When a man receives an anonymous letter containing five orange pips, the message seems meaningless?until death follows soon after. Called too late to prevent disaster, Sherlock Holmes recognizes the mark of a merciless secret society and begins a desperate pursuit of the truth.
From cryptic symbols to a frantic chase across land and sea, Holmes and Dr. Watson face one of their most ominous cases, where justice is threatened by forces beyond the law.
Dark, gripping, and unforgettable, The Five Orange Pips is a classic tale of suspense and deduction. This Illustrated Edition brings added depth to the story with artwork that captures the menace, urgency, and atmosphere of one of Holmes?s most dramatic investigations.
First published in 1891, The Five Orange Pips is one of the darkest and most suspenseful Sherlock Holmes stories. The case begins with a mysterious letter containing five orange pips?an apparently harmless message that soon proves to be a deadly warning. When tragedy follows, Holmes realizes that an unseen and ruthless organization is behind the threat.
Working with Dr. Watson, Holmes traces the meaning of the strange symbol and races against time to stop a chain of violence that stretches across continents. With its ominous atmosphere, secret codes, and sense of impending doom, the story reveals a rare moment when even Holmes must confront the limits of logic and justice.
This Illustrated Edition enhances the narrative with evocative artwork that deepens the tension and brings the shadowy world of the case vividly to life.
