Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Modern brown binding with gilt on spine. Newer and original endpapers. Soil on edges and pencil marks and chips on rear endpapers. Foxing throughout. This reference for medical students was printed in many different editions, this one a later printing and the first American edition. The original 1769 edition was in Latin. Here two separate title pages indicate this is a complete set of the two volumes in this edition. Hardcover. Condition: Good. Octavos. Two volumes. Volume I: [1], xxx, 31-422 pages, [38] pages 'Explanatory Notes'. Volume II: viii, 9-443 pages. Marbled paper covered boards. Brown leather spines with red leather title labels. Some light edge wear to the boards. Leather outer hinges rubbed. Leather spines are dry and scuffed in spots. Light toning to the front and rear end sheets. Both volumes are sturdy and the interior contents in good condition. Most early copies of this book are dated 1791 (the earliest) 1793 and later.
