The waterfalls are only the beginning. Discover the living landscape that makes Ricketts Glen extraordinary.
From shaded rock ledges and forest trails to meadows, lakeshores, and wetlands, Ricketts Glen State Park supports an astonishing variety of plant life. Written by veteran botanist George P. Chamuris, this comprehensive illustrated guide helps hikers, naturalists, photographers, students, and curious visitors confidently identify the plants they encounter throughout the park and adjoining State Game Lands 13 and 57.
Inside, you will find 564 vascular plant species representing 302 genera and 106 plant families, from club-mosses, ferns, and conifers to trees, shrubs, vines, wildflowers, sedges, rushes, and common grasses.
