Clean and unmarked wraps, cover flares up a bit, faint edgewear. Binding tight, solid and square. Blacked out small square on endpaper. Pages are clean, neat, completely unmarked. Charged with the force of an almost vanished Africa, "A Far-Off Place" , though it is a self-contained novel, concludes the epic narrative begun by Laurens van der Post in "A Story Like The Wind". They have to evade a murderous force of political terrorists ad also conquer a thousand miles of the Kalahari Desert before reaching safety. 311 pages. 8vo. 1978, Harvest/HBJ. ISBN: 0156301989.
