Illustrated (Theme photography of Piper by Eugene Harris) soft cover/VG; strong & sound with light edge& surface wear, and clipped upper front corner. Catalogue of the outstanding photographic exhibition hosted by the Museum of Modern Art, thematically bound by concern with " . man in his relationship to his environment, to the beauty and richness of the earth he has inherited and to what he has done with this inheritance, the good and the great things, the stupid and destructive things." The some 500 photographs, representing 68 countries, were assembled over three years, and culled from some 10,000 entries. Carl Sandburg sums up the exhibition with these words: "A camera testament, a drama of the grand canyon of humanity, as epic woven of fun, mystery, and holiness --- here is the Family of Fun!" The catalogue has been justifiably re-issued. Fine vintage copy.
