You promised yourself you would never become like your parents. So why do you sometimes hear their words coming out of your mouth?
You promised never to shout the way they shouted. Never use silence as punishment. Never make someone feel small or believe love had to be earned.
Yet years later, you react in ways you don't understand.
You struggle to say no without guilt. You fear disappointing others. You avoid difficult conversations or become defensive when criticised. You love your family, yet those closest to you sometimes bring out behaviours you want to change.
What if the patterns shaping your relationships began long before you had a choice?
Every family passes something down.
Some inherit kindness, resilience, and unconditional love. Others inherit anger, emotional silence, fear of rejection, or the pressure to keep everyone happy.
Most inherit a mixture of both, carrying these lessons into marriage, parenting, friendships, and relationships.
THE FAMILY CODE: Break the Patterns You Inherited by Dr. Adrian Vale is a compassionate, practical guide to understanding the experiences that shaped you, breaking unhealthy cycles, and building healthier relationships.
This is not about blaming your parents or rejecting your family. It is about recognising what you inherited and choosing what deserves to continue—and what must end.
INSIDE THIS BOOK, YOU WILL DISCOVER HOW TO:
-
Recognise inherited family patterns influencing your emotions, self-worth, and relationships.
-
Understand why you repeat behaviours you once hated, even when you want to change.
-
Break cycles of anger, criticism, emotional withdrawal, guilt, and people-pleasing.
-
Release responsibilities that were never yours, including keeping everyone happy.
-
Communicate honestly, establish healthy boundaries, and disagree respectfully.
-
Navigate difficult family relationships while protecting your emotional wellbeing.
-
Become a safer, more understanding presence for those you love.
-
Build a family legacy of respect, compassion, honesty, and emotional security.
DISCOVER THE SEVEN-STAGE FAMILY CODE:
RECOGNISE → UNDERSTAND → BREAK → REBUILD → RECONNECT → PROTECT → BECOME
This practical framework guides you from identifying inherited patterns to making conscious choices that create a different future.
Through relatable stories, reflections, practical exercises, and a 30-Day Family Pattern Reset, you will turn awareness into action—one conversation, one boundary, and one intentional choice at a time.
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF...
You love your parents but still carry childhood pain.
You are tired of repeating arguments in your marriage or relationships.
You seek approval, fear rejection, or feel guilty putting your needs first.
You want your children to feel heard, respected, and emotionally safe.
Or you want a future different from the past you inherited.
You don't need to come from a broken family to benefit. Nor must you cut off your family to overcome unhealthy patterns. Sometimes healing means rebuilding relationships. Sometimes it means establishing boundaries.
You cannot rewrite your childhood or force your family to change. But you can choose how you love, communicate, respond, and live from today.
Imagine a home where disagreements don't create fear, apologies are possible, boundaries are respected, and children never have to earn affection through perfection.
That future can begin with you.
You didn't choose what was passed down. You can choose what ends with you.
Start reading THE FAMILY CODE today—and begin writing a different family story.
