Washover fans form on the bayside of many barrier islands along the Texas Gulf Coast. They are composed largely of sediment that had been carried across a barrier island and dumped in the adjoining bay by catastrophic storms, such as hurricanes. 147 pages with maps and charts with numerous photographic plates bound in the rear, plus the required 9 plates in the rear pocket. Bound in stiff printed paper wrappers. Neat owner's name on the inside front cover. A fine and bright copy.
