Tall 8vo., orig. green cloth with decoration in dark green by Walter Crane on the upper cover and May Morris on the spine, (viii), 236pp. Trace of rubbing along spine hinges, upper corners bumped, a touch of wear to the lower corners, trace of soiling on rear but in fact a better than very good but not quite near fine copy. 'Shaw took charge of production of the book from first to last: he edited the text, revised the essays of William Clarke and Annie Besant, wrote the preface, compiled the index, supervised the Crane-Morris cover designs, arranged for the blocks, chose the paper, selected the type, and drafted the handbill announcement.'
