It includes sophisticated anatomical and radiological images, discusses contemporary scientific data based on the latest research, and guides the reader through the examination process and the surgical techniques of the extraction. The book is divided into five sections. In the first two sections, readers will learn about the basics of the mandibular third molar and the evidence of surgical complications including hemorrhage, pseudoaneurysm, nerve block and nerve injuries. Section 3 and 4 cover surgical techniques and preoperative evaluation such as risk assessment, preoperative conditions, anesthesia, and suturing methods. The last section focusses on clinical case presentations illustrating the management of various patients. This book is a must have for all general dentists, periodontists, specialists and residents of oral surgery, as well as for dental students.
