Behold the King and His Kingdom with this definitive, verse-by-verse devotional commentary by one of the 20th century’s most beloved Bible teachers.
The Gospel of Matthew stands as the critical, magnificent bridge connecting the Old and New Testaments. Written primarily to the Jewish mind, its supreme objective is to present Jesus of Nazareth as the literal, legitimate Messiah—the rightful heir to the royal throne of David. Yet, because it deals extensively with the "Kingdom of Heaven," its deep prophetic discourses and parables are frequently misunderstood or misapplied by the modern church.
In Expository Notes on the Gospel of Matthew, legendary pastor and theologian Dr. H.A. Ironside brings his world-renowned clarity and warm, pastoral heart to this pivotal text. Stripping away dense, cold academic technicalities, Ironside walks you verse-by-verse through all 28 chapters, providing an unshakeable dispensational framework that perfectly balances the King’s judicial authority with His infinite, saving grace.
Why Dr. Ironside’s Matthew Commentary is a Timeless Essential:-
Flawless Expository Clarity: Ironside possessed a unique, God-given gift for making the deepest theological truths and prophetic timelines immediately accessible to everyday believers.
-
A Sound Prophetic Framework: Masterfully navigate the Olivet Discourse (Chapters 24–25) and the mysterious Kingdom Parables (Chapter 13) within a reliable, futurist, and dispensational context.
-
Deeply Devotional and Heart-Warming: Far from a cold reference text, this volume is written with the vibrant spiritual energy of a man deeply in love with the Savior, making it ideal for your daily quiet time.
-
The Preacher’s Goldmine: Packed with logical outlines, practical life applications, and clear-cut structural breakthroughs, this commentary is an invaluable companion for pastors, Sunday school teachers, and small group leaders.
-
The Royal Credentials (Chapters 1–4): Unpacking the legal genealogy, the prophetic virgin birth, and the wilderness temptation that proved Jesus’ absolute right to rule.
-
The Manifesto of the King (Chapters 5–7): A clear, balanced look at the Sermon on the Mount—discovering its moral principles, spiritual depths, and proper dispensation.
-
The Rejection and the Mysteries: Understanding why the nation of Israel rejected her Messiah, and how that rejection opened the door to the hidden "mystery age" of the Church.
-
The Passion and Final Triumph: A heart-stirring, detailed look at Gethsemane, the cross, and the spectacular majesty of the Great Commission.
"Matthew is preeminently the Gospel of the King. To understand it correctly is to possess the key that unlocks the entire prophetic program of God for both Israel and the Church." — Dr. H.A. Ironside
Whether you are a pastor seeking a rock-solid theological foundation for your next sermon series, a serious student of eschatology wanting to grasp the structure of the Kingdom, or an earnest believer longing to behold the majesty of your Savior, this classic masterpiece belongs on your desk.
