- Book 8 of 41: Ironside Commentary Series
Unlock the magnificent, Christ-centered prophecies of Isaiah with the clear, deeply devotional, and verse-by-verse commentary of H.A. Ironside.
Often referred to as "The Fifth Gospel" because of its breathtakingly vivid prophecies concerning the Messiah, the Book of Isaiah stands as one of the most majestic yet complex books in the Old Testament. Spanning themes of severe judgment, divine holiness, and sweeping global restoration, it can easily overwhelm the casual reader.
In this classic volume, beloved pastor and theologian Dr. H.A. Ironside provides an exceptional, highly accessible guide through all 66 chapters of Isaiah. Known throughout the world for his unique ability to "put the cookies on the bottom shelf," Ironside strips away dense, academic dry-rot to deliver a commentary that is both intellectually satisfying and deeply challenging to the human heart.
Why Ironside’s Commentary on Isaiah Belongs on Your Desk:-
Verse-by-Verse Clarity: Navigate the entire structure of Isaiah sequentially, ensuring you understand the historical context, the immediate prophetic warnings, and their ultimate future fulfillments.
-
Unwavering Christ-Centered Focus: See the person and work of Jesus Christ come alive in the Old Testament, from the virgin birth (Isaiah 7) to the substitutionary suffering of the Scapegoat (Isaiah 53).
-
The Ironside Method: Benefit from his famous blend of sound, dispensational theology, clear outlines, and warm, practical illustrations that make the text instantly scannable and understandable.
-
A Goldmine for Teachers and Pastors: Packed with structural outlines and homiletical gems, this commentary serves as an invaluable tool for sermon preparation, Sunday school lessons, or personal discipleship.
-
The Holiness of God: Understand Israel’s failure in light of the absolute righteousness of the "Holy One of Israel."
-
The Suffering Servant: Devotionally unpack the profound depths of Messiah's sacrifice for our transgressions.
-

-
Comfort for the Weary: Learn how God's promises of restoration and mercy bring immense, practical peace to believers navigating dark times today.
