The empirical studies are conducted using a comparative logic and with an eye to international comparisons. The study draws upon a range of data, such as surveys, newspaper articles and primary sources, including legal documents and a large number of personally conducted interviews. This book is relevant for scholars, students and practitioners with an interest in corruption risks in representative democracy in general and the public sector in particular.
