Synopsis:
Epigenetics is a dazzling part of Biotechnology. Using Bioniformatics tools we can explore cancer epigenetics which can give better results for mankind. In cancer cells, CpG islands preceding tumor suppressor gene promoters are often hypermethylated which result in silencing of those genes. Various transcription factors are selected and bioinformatics tools can be used to find methylation sites. The methylation of DNA sequences leads to the modification of histones with the help of MDB proteins leading to formation of heterochromatin. All these events aid in causing cancer.
