About the Author: Philip F. Sheldrake has researched, taught, and written about the history, theology, and practice of Christian spirituality for thirty years. A past president of the international Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality, he is the author of nine books and numerous articles and the editor of the New Westminster Dictionary of Christian Spirituality. Dr. Sheldrake was educated at the Universities of Oxford and London and, since 2008, is a Moulsdale Professorial Fellow at St. Chads College, University of Durham, England.

Part 3, Space and the Sacred, underlines the importance of a spirituality of place with essays on spirituality and cities and religious buildings as classic spiritual texts.
