There is Life and Power in God's Word. Since the time Adam and Eve sinned, all of us have needed that Life and Power. We need it to enter God’s Family and we need it to live properly in His Family. Look at what Paul writes to believers in Ephesians 4:17-18. So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Here are three key points from this Scripture.•Those of us who know God must live no longer like those who don’t know God. •Those who do not know God live the way they do because of the way they think. Their understanding is darkened. •This is because of the condition of their heart. We need something strong enough to change both our minds and our hearts. God’s Word, and the Life and Power it contains, is designed to do just that. That is why we need His Word. It is only as His Word (Written and Living) impacts us that we experience that Life and Power and a change in our minds and hearts. How does it impact us most deeply? How can we cooperate with God to let it do its work in us? I am convinced the most impactful way Scripture affects us is through the process of meditation.Meditation is how His Word produces His Life and Power in our lives. It is how the Spirit of God writes the Word of God on the hearts of the people of God.This book will help you understand and develop a life-style of Biblical meditation.
