A sacrifice to be made. A heart left bleeding.
Arianna knows two things with absolute certainty. First, she has to get to Nàdair, the last stronghold capable of raising an army against Vairik. Second, she needs to get her sister away from these people.
They used to be her friends and allies, but their words don't align with the events in her memory. They tell her The Demon is her mate and claim she's safe among friends, yet the shadows whisper a darker truth. They claim she's surrounded by liars and that Pádraigín's magic is at play. They say the truth has been twisted and Ellie is nothing more than a captive meant to keep her compliant.
But her heart... it whispers, too.
An emerald gaze haunts every waking step. His very touch is like lightning, igniting both body and soul. Every breath is a temptation. Every word a caress, her body caught between longing and revulsion.
But if she gives in, if she chooses wrong, she could hand her entire kingdom to its enemy.
And this fight isn't just about her.
