Paperback. Evolution: Making Sense of Life is more than a textbook - its an invitation to explore the dynamic world of evolutionary science. Now in its Fourth Edition, this widely acclaimed resource continues to blend scientific rigor with compelling storytelling to engage todays biology students. Written by Douglas Emlen, an award-winning evolutionary biologist, and Carl Zimmer, an acclaimed New York Times columnist and science writer, the book combines deep conceptual insight with vivid real-world examples. Students encounter evolution in action - from elephants adapting to poaching, to fossils reshaping our understanding of early life, to scientists racing to track fast-evolving viruses. With stories spanning Arctic expeditions, tropical rainforests, and hospital wards, the book brings students face-to-face with the relevance of evolution in todays world. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
