Print on Demand. This book tackles the controversy surrounding infant baptism, a practice prevalent in many Christian denominations. The author argues against infant baptism, drawing on the Scriptures to support his claim that the practice lacks biblical foundation. Exploring the historical context, the author highlights how various denominations, from Baptists to Episcopalians and Methodists, hold conflicting interpretations of baptism, often relying on tradition and early Christian writings instead of the Bible. The author refutes these arguments, presenting a strong case for biblical authority as the sole basis for religious practice. The book delves into the theological and practical implications of infant baptism, arguing that its defense leads to misinterpretations of Scripture, false doctrines, and a flawed understanding of the church. The author contends that infant baptism undermines the true nature of baptism as a conscious, voluntary act of faith and commitment to Christ. Through a thorough examination of relevant passages and theological arguments, this book offers a compelling critique of infant baptism and its impact on the Christian faith. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …

MY gratitude is due to God, and to his people, for the kindness with which this little work has been re ceived. A second edition is demanded at a much earlier period than I had anticipated. I have pre pared it with as much attention as my circumstances would permit. Some portions of the book, as will be seen, have been recwt, and a new Chapter has been added, on Infant Salvation. More perspicuity and con elusiveness have, as I think, been thus given to some of the arguments, and the whole work made much more complete. Again I send it forth, with the cam est prayer that it may prove a blessing to the cause of.
