nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - A dead judge. A missing original record. A conviction that deserves another look.Retired Judge Nathaniel Shaw is found dead inside his obstructed study in Bellwether, Massachusetts. Before his death, he had been reviewing an old conviction and searching for a document missing from the official record.Trace-evidence specialist Dr. Mara Voss joins Detective Elias Rook to examine what the scene can actually establish. Small traces, conflicting accounts, and gaps in the paperwork raise questions that a simple explanation cannot answer.Their investigation leads toward a former laboratory analyst, an unresolved disappearance, and records that appear more complete than the evidence behind them. Meanwhile, Claire Bell wants to know whether the case that sent her brother to prison can withstand a closer examination.Mara must follow the surviving evidence without turning uncertainty into proof. But discovering why a record went missing may expose far more than an administrative mistake. The Evidence of Silence opens The Evidence Files, a forensic mystery series about disputed evidence, hidden records, and the human cost of accepting an easy answer.…
