Illustrated with eight plates printed in colour, one folding, and numerous other black and white illustrations. Publisher's tan cloth ornately blocked in gilt and colour to spine and upper board. Edges toned and spotted, with a little weakness to binding. Upper hinge just starting. Binding bright and clean, showing only a little wear. Very good. An attractive later edition of Mrs Beeton's classic recipe book, first published in 1861.
