A smart copy of the second edition of Younghusband's account of the 1936 expedition to Mount Everest, illustrated throughout. A second impression of the second edition of this work, with a special account of the 1936 expedition, in the publisher's original cloth binding. Illustrated with sixteen black and white plates and four sketch maps. Collated, complete. Lieutenant Colonel Sir Francis Edward Younghusband (1863-1942) was a British Army officer and explorer. He is remembered for his travels in the Far East and Central Asia; especially the 1904 British expedition to Tibet, led by himself. This is the second edition of his account of his expedition to Mount Everest, an entirely new account with detailed discussion of the problems faced, written after the expedition. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, with a small mark to the front board and to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for a scattering of spots to the first and last couple of pages. Very Good Indeed. Seller Inventory # 867M34
