Here's what they're saying about Eve "From the earliest days of childhood, the book of Genesis has captured the imagination: more than any other work committed to ink.Leave it to a former Vatican priest turned graphic novelist to bring the earliest stories of creation to life for the adult mind. The Garden of Eden is a feast for the eyes. just don't eat the apples!" D. G. Wood, Author of The Darkly Stewart MysteriesI am the author of Eve - a graphic novel.I started the novel about two-and-a-half years ago. We started working on it first of all the movie script about five years ago actually. It was really cool because I really wanted to make a movie of this.I felt that the material called for something exciting visually. The movie was a lot more work obviously, so we started with the graphic novel. Before getting to that I will tell you, I've got a little bit of a background in this material.I studied to be a Catholic priest for about six and a half years. In that time I studied in the United States. I studied in Rome. I worked in the Vatican on/off. I also worked with some exorcists. Some very famous ones that, well, let's just say they are very busy, let's put it that way.Now that led me to want to get a broader scope of information on angels and demons. Because without which we don't have a history of Adam and Eve in the garden because this serpent is the one that tempted Eve to eat and led her to eat the forbidden fruit. Now demonology is its own science, because, without the demons, you don't have a story of the forbidden fruit and Eve and Adam eating it.So I went back into demonology. I studied all about it, and that leads directly to the creation stories, because obviously there are no demons created in the Bible but there are angels created and where did demons come from? Well, they are bad angels. So that means right back to the Serpent, and the Serpent is the one who has the knowledge that Adam and Eve apparently want in order to eat the forbidden fruit. What I wanted to do in this graphic novel is take all that knowledge - my demonology, studies of angels, all those things and put them into a cool story that visually you can watch it happen. That's what you'll find in this graphic novel. You'll find an angelology; you have the creation story, you'll even have the dinosaurs in there because the dinosaur underneath our feet had to come from somewhere. And they're right in the creation story as well. And all those things make a nice, compact, a very exciting little story. Now it's called Eve, because Eve is the main character that we focus on. It was her and the serpent of the Tree that first dialogue about the mystery of the forbidden fruit.Without her eating the fruit we don't have a story to talk about. In fact, we don't have a world that we know of right now, with all the things that go on, without Eve eating that fruit.Anyway, that's the graphic novel called Eve. I'm the author, Francis Testa and I hope you enjoy it. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
