Print on Demand. This book tackles the challenges of racial identity and morality in South Africa during the early 20th century. Offering a unique perspective from the author, the book chronicles the experiences and prejudices within the nation's interracial relationships. At the heart of the book is the exploration of the complex dynamics within interracial marriages and the lasting consequences for the children of these unions. The author asserts these relationships not only fail to elevate the person of color, but rather diminish the white partner's moral compass and social standing. The book's case studies illuminate the struggle for identity and the ongoing racial tensions in South Africa. This work remains as significant today as it was a century ago, encouraging us to reflect on the social and moral implications of interracial relationships and the resulting social dilemmas. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Walking one day through the thick wattle bush' which lies around our farm, one of my dogs, who was running ahead, suddenly barked sharply. This was followed by a quick cry of alarm. Pushing on quickly through the thick growth of saplings I came upon two respectably-dressed white women. One was an old woman, the other much younger.
