Uniform matching second edition hard back binding in publisher's original half calf covers, twin gilt and faded red morocco title and volume lettering labels to the spines, marble paper covers and page edges. 8vo. 8½'' x 5½''. Contains [iv] 412; 486 printed pages of text. Eton college vignette to each title page. From the private library of Edmund H. Turton (Member of Parliament) with his coat of arms bookplate inside each volume. Top label to volume II has piece of leather missing, minimal foxing to the end papers beyond which the text block is clean. Member of the P.B.F.A. ETON (Old Etonians).
