Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This Open Access book sketches the outlines of a novel approach to the ethics of the sciences that aims to improve the connections between science and society in a nuanced and interdisciplinary way. The contributors collectively propose to elevate the ethics of science from an ancillary field that mainly provides services to the sciences to a field that is in its own right a hub of knowledge, developing its own scholarly processes and methods that are translatable into a broad range of scientific contexts. This shift is facilitated by a rigorously interdisciplinary perspective that spans a wide range of expertise, subject matters, and approaches. Accordingly, the volume contains contributions from a broad spectrum of fields. This book is an essential resource for students and researchers in science and technology studies, philosophy of science and technology, philosophy, bio-/medical ethics, law, sociology, educational sciences, political sciences, computer/data science, and history of science. …
