12 pages letter press including title page, preface and list of subscribers, 102 uncoloured plates (lacks plate 71 which is supplied as a facsimile copy), numbered in pencil. The printed paper cover of a related work mounted and bound in at the end, is titled "A supplement to a collection of etchings" with the date 1800 although no trace of such a work has been located. A contemporary advertisement for the book mentions 100 copper etching; another only 70. Library rebinding in red buckram with gilt titles to the spine, no stamps or labels. Large ex-libris signature of Bath art dealer Alfred Jones across the middle of the title page.Title page, preface and first 3 plates with damp staining to extreme lower edge, not impinging on printed area and repaired. The list of some 220 subscribers includes Sir Joseph Banks, William Beckford, William Blake, Antonio Canova, John Flaxman, Angelica Kauffman, John Soane, several members of the Tatham family and many members of the aristocracy. Tatham and his etchings influenced the decoration of Carlton House, the Brighton Pavillion and Neo-Classical furniture.
