Review
From the reviews:
"The Essentials of Autopsy Practice series is rapidly becoming to autopsies what the Recent Advances is to histopathology. ... Overall, this is an excellent book, and a worthy successor to the first volume in the series. It will prove a valuable addition to the bookshelves of all pathologists engaged in autopsy practice." (Julian Burton, ACP News, Spring 2004)
"Throughout, the text is clearly laid out and eminently readable. Despite originating from numerous authors, the book reads well as a whole and is both a fascinating and informative read. Each of the chapters has been generously illustrated with appropriate tables and black and white photographs. ... Essentials of Autopsy Practice easily lives up to its title and will make a valuable addition to the bookshelf of any pathologist with an autopsy practice." (Julian Burton, ACP News, Spring 2002)
"All chapters are good reviews of the specific topics, and the range of topics covered includes many of the difficult and contentious issues facing routine practice but which do not have coverage in the major forensic texts. ...[A]n exceptional, compact review worthy of a place in the library of any department still engaged in autopsy examinations. It should be added to the ‘must read’ list of any trainees considering forensic practice. Even old hands will learn a thing or two, and some may be touched by the insights provided in this book to review their own practices." (Paul Botterill, Pathology, December 2002, 593)
