About the Author: It was mountain biking that brought Susanna and Herman Mills together in 1990. Their wide-ranging experience includes establishing mountain biking clubs, racing at national level, organizing and promoting races and skills clinics and inventing new products. In 1995, they formed Aftrac, an organization aimed at promoting the sport in Africa and educating new riders. In October 1997, their newsletter Trail Tales became Ride magazine, today the leading all-African cycling publication. They live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
