Jos� Mar�a P�rez Gonz�lez, m�s conocido como Peridis, es arquitecto, dibujante, divulgador del patrimonio cultural y escritor. Adem�s de las vi�etas que publica en El Pa�s desde la fundaci�n de este peri�dico, es colaborador en el programa Aqu� la Tierra de TVE y en A vivir que son dos d�as de la Cadena Ser. Tambi�n en TVE dirigi� y present� el documental Las claves del rom�nico. Entre otras muchas distinciones, es doctor honoris causa por las universidades de Valladolid y Alcal� de Henares y recibi� el Premio Nacional de Restauraci�n y Conservaci�n de Bienes Culturales 2018. Es autor de diversos libros sobre humor, s�tira pol�tica y divulgaci�n de arte como La luz y el misterio de las catedrales (2012) y Hasta una ruina puede ser una esperanza (2017), entre otros. En 2014 obtuvo el Premio de Novela Hist�rica Alfonso X el Sabio con Esperando al rey. En 2016 public� La maldici�n de la reina Leonor y en 2018 culmin� su Trilog�a de la Reconquista con La reina sin reino. En 2020 recibi� el Premio Primavera de novela por El coraz�n con que vivo. En 2023 public� El Cantar de Li�bana, una mezcla entre novela hist�rica y feel good que encant� a los lectores.
