Print on Demand. This book presents a collection of letters written between 1537—1556 by members of the newly formed Society of Jesus—also known as the Jesuits—to their leaders, St. Ignatius of Loyola and Father Polancus. These letters, written in the early days of the Jesuit order, offer a rare glimpse into the challenges and triumphs faced by the fledgling religious community. While they provide a rich source of information for those interested in the history of Catholicism, they also shed light on the broader religious and intellectual climate of their time. The letters touch upon everything from the Jesuits' educational mission to their efforts to combat Protestantism, offering an insight into the dynamics of the Reformation era. By bringing together these letters and presenting them in an accessible way, this book contributes to our understanding of the development of the Jesuit order and the religious landscape of the 16th century. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
