Review
'The variety of themes used for the lessons shows that a great deal of thought has gone into choosing topics of interest not only for their topicality but also for their inherent interest. The attention given to, grammar is laudable, with extracts from the excellent Cambridge Encyclopedia of the English Language, good use of the IPA and welcome sections on slang and idioms.' 'The Teacher's Book is a model of its type. No teacher could fail to benefit from the detailed instructions that have been made out in such a way as to allow the teacher freedom but also to provide welcome support and some very good ideas.' 'All in all, a well constructed and thoughtfully conceived course for students from high information density cultures.' Authentically English, 1998
'I feel that this course has much to recommend as it provides motivating and challenging material for the difficult post-FCE period, and will encourage students to maintain their interest in learning English and progress further with the language.' EL Gazette, 1998
'One of the most outstanding features in Felicity O'Dell's book is, how she has integrated subject matter to language, giving each activity a real purpose, making each task challenging and meaningful. In her book language is not an end on its own but a means to explore content.' IATEFL Newsletter
