One of three editions printed about 1682, the date given in ESTC, the three editions or issues differing only in the bookseller's name in the imprint. An important discussion of Magna Charta and other aspects of freedom and English law, and a popular title in colonial America. Henry Care (1616-1688), was an English political writer and journalist. Thomas Jefferson had a copy of the work in his library, "printed by G. Larkin, for Benjamin Harris", sharing the same collation as this copy.
