If you've ever looked at the English language and thought, "This feels like a prank!" - you're not alone.

The English Language Needs a Detention! is a laugh-out-loud, slightly dramatic, (okay, very dramatic) journey through the wonderfully weird world of spelling rules, silent letters, and sounds that simply refuse to behave. From bossy E causing chaos to syllables multiplying like rabbits, to rules that almost make sense (until they don't), this clever and relatable story captures exactly how it feels to be a young learner tackling English for the first time.

Packed with humour, rhythm, and just the right amount of exaggeration, this book turns phonics frustration into pure fun. Perfect for early readers, teachers, and parents who've ever tried to explain why "Y" sometimes is a vowel (and sometimes just likes to keep everyone guessing).

Because let's be honest, if anyone deserves time-out- it's the English language.
