Item description from seller

London, Paris & New York: Cassell, Petter, Galpin & Co., 1881. This is a Very Good copy of the Second Edition [stated]. Not common. Brown cloth binding, ruled; with titling on the spine in gilt. Clean text; vii, 272 pages; with an eight-page catalog in the rear. The Title Page has the stamp of the "Cobden Club," a society formed in 1866 to promote free trade. Interestingly, it had its own publishing arm. Shaw (1831-1928) served in several administrative positions, as well as Parliament. Mild bumping, with one corner gone to a fray; the first endpaper is missing; small owner stamp to the half title and FFEP; tiny bookseller label on the front paste-down. A solid copy. Second Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
