Enfantillages. A Baby's Record Book. Published by Editions du Pantheon in 1948. With illustrations by Maurice Pouzet. Hardcover. Size: 7 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Unpaginated: I counted 51. French language. This book would be used to record the occasion of a baby's birth and details of names, weight etc. Then favourite toys, first Christmas, first birthday etc. It's a Catholic book so gives space to Baptism and, as the child gets older, Holy Communion, along with pages for guests, gifts etc. There is space at the back for photographs and notes; also a pocket for keepsakes. The book is covered in Disney fabric. The word Enfantillages is written across the front, though this has become faint. Condition: Very Good. The fabric is a little darkened and slightly soiled. There is a faint water mark across the word Enfantillages. The book has not been used. It's in good shape but for the end papers that have been poorly attached (or are possibly water damaged) and so are somewhat wrinkled. The binding remains secure. The pages, but for some spots of foxing and other small flaws, are clean. It is tight though the hinges are beginning to crack in places. A charming book that would make an excellent gift for a newborn. Seller Inventory # 001065
