Neuware - The weather in Whistwick is chosen by whoever wins the race. When new girl Odette wins the Saturday race, she does everything right. She studies the wheel, adjusts her grip, and spins a clean, careful arc that lands exactly where she aimed: rain. One sensible, ordinary week of rain. What arrives instead is thunder. Not the crashing kind. The continuous, low, relentless kind that settles into the walls of every building in town and the backs of every eye and simply doesn't stop. Three days later, Whistwick is exhausted and irritable and convinced Odette made a mistake. Odette says she chose correctly. Nobody believes her. Nobody except Casey. Casey has fixed a weather problem before - and knows that the Whistwick system is more complicated than it looks. Deep under the town square, beneath the Weather Wheel platform, is a chamber nobody knew existed. Inside it, two iron dials that haven't agreed on anything in three days. And fixing them will require someone on the mountain at exactly the same moment as someone underground. Which means Casey is going to have to ask for help. A funny, fast-paced adventure about believing someone when nobody else will, asking for help before it's too late, and the surprising things you find under cobblestone squares. Perfect for readers aged 6-10 who love mysteries, adventure stories, and characters who are right even when everyone says they're wrong. The Whistwick Series: Book Two.…
