About the Author: Alexander Shtromas was formerly Reader in Politics at the University of Salford. He has also lectured at the University of Bradford, and been a Senior Research Fellow in Legal Studies at a number of research institutions in Lithuania and in Moscow. He has been a visiting professor at the Universities of Chicago and Stanford, and at Assumption and Boston Colleges.
