He wrote it from thirty-four years of lived experience - making mistakes, losing money, rebuilding, and quietly discovering that the principles behind conscious creation are not wishful thinking. They are the operating instructions for a mind most people were never taught to use. When he arrived in Australia in 1992, he had a master's degree in architecture and almost nothing else. The job market for immigrants was hostile. The self-doubt was loud. The Doubter - that inner voice that whispers you are not enough, not ready, not welcome - was at full volume. What turned things around was not luck. It was a single book found by chance on a discounted shelf, and the willingness to take its ideas seriously. That willingness led to hundreds more books, decades of testing, and eventually this: a distilled, honest, and surprisingly funny guide to building the life you actually want. What Makes This Book DifferentThere are thousands of books about the law of attraction. Most fall into one of two traps. Either they are so mystical that practically minded readers cannot take them seriously, or they are so clinical that the heart goes out of them entirely. Mostly Empty Space walks a third path - it takes the science seriously, honours the spiritual traditions honestly, and tells the truth about how hard and how simple this work actually is. It is a book that makes you laugh and think at the same time. A book that gives you real tools you can use before you finish the chapter. A Book Born From Real Struggle, Not Theory
Gus Fares did not write this book from a comfortable armchair. He wrote it from thirty-four years of lived experience — making mistakes, losing money, rebuilding, and quietly discovering that the principles behind conscious creation are not wishful thinking. They are the operating instructions for a mind most people were never taught to use.
When he arrived in Australia in 1992, he had a master's degree in architecture and almost nothing else. The job market for immigrants was hostile. The self-doubt was loud. The Doubter — that inner voice that whispers you are not enough, not ready, not welcome — was at full volume. What turned things around was not luck. It was a single book found by chance on a discounted shelf, and the willingness to take its ideas seriously.
That willingness led to hundreds more books, decades of testing, and eventually this: a distilled, honest, and surprisingly funny guide to building the life you actually want.
What Makes This Book Different
There are thousands of books about the law of attraction. Most fall into one of two traps. Either they are so mystical that practically minded readers cannot take them seriously, or they are so clinical that the heart goes out of them entirely. Mostly Empty Space walks a third path — it takes the science seriously, honours the spiritual traditions honestly, and tells the truth about how hard and how simple this work actually is.
It is a book that makes you laugh and think at the same time. A book that gives you real tools you can use before you finish the chapter. A book written by someone who has failed enough times to know that failure is not the opposite of success — it is part of the path.
The author stands on the shoulders of giants. Joseph Murphy, Neville Goddard, Florence Scovel Shinn, Wallace Wattles, Bob Proctor, Rhonda Byrne, Andrew Matthews, Esther and Abraham Hicks, Dr Joe Dispenza, and physicist David Bohm — all are referenced, credited, and recommended for further reading.
