"As a comedian, I find it highly annoying when this book is funnier than I am. It will, however, inspire you to quit a crap job yourself, and that's always a good thing." – Neil Thornton
"Heartfelt, yet hilarious, accounts of temp-work misadventures." – Ted the CFP
"Well, not fun for either FAXBoy or FileGrrl on any of these crappy jobs, but definitely a fun read for anyone who has ever thought about quitting their own." – iHateMyJob
"This is consummate reading material for solo lunches at the local Indian buffet, where periodic chortles and a spit take (or two) blend right in with the din of the TVs blasting soap operas and exploitation flicks (along with the occasional 'Entertainment Tonight' rip-off in Hindi). Speaking of facsimiles, FAXBoy and FileGrrl have cemented their own (winning) format for each chapter of this embellished C.V. from Hell. Not unlike the David Lynch TV series that featured the same plot every episode, you're getting dosed with a database of anecdotes that all reek of the same pointed wit, realism, and hint of post-adolescent wonderment in the milieu of an ever-more dysfunctional clerical America where employees are as disposable as the flimsy plastic utensils that flex backward as you futilely dissect your vegetable pakora before you have to rush back to your desk." – Anne Office-Worker
"Employment of the Month is at one level a jaunty, brilliantly witty joint autobiography of two intertwined, irreverent authors who negotiate the world of temp work. Though avoiding overt social commentary, these fast-paced yet often poignant vignettes make a powerful case for workers’ rights, gender equity, and the radical reorganization of work itself." – Florence S. Boos, Author of Memoirs of Victorian Working-Class Women: The Hard Way Up
