Emotional Intelligence for Daily Life: Simple Strategies to Understand Emotions, Build Self-Control, and Improve Human Relationships is your essential guide to mastering emotions, strengthening self-control, and building meaningful connections in an increasingly complex world. Life as an adult is full of challenges—stress, interpersonal conflict, and emotional turbulence are inevitable. This book equips readers with practical strategies to navigate these challenges with awareness, wisdom, and resilience.
Stephan S. combines insights from modern psychology, emotional intelligence research, and reflective biblical wisdom to help readers recognize emotional patterns, understand their triggers, and respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. Each chapter offers a balance of scientific principles, actionable exercises, and spiritual reflections, making profound concepts accessible and immediately applicable.
With two layers of biblical reflection, this book provides both inner insight—to understand emotions at a deep, personal level—and daily guidance—to translate understanding into concrete action. Whether you face stress at work, tension in relationships, or internal struggles with self-doubt, these reflections guide you toward calm, clarity, and confident decision-making.
Readers will learn to:
-
Recognize and regulate emotional responses before they escalate
-
Build empathy and improve communication in personal and professional relationships
-
Apply spiritual reflection in practical, everyday situations
-
Develop resilience, mindfulness, and deliberate decision-making
With over 45 published works, Stephan S. brings a unique ability to merge psychology, personal growth, and spiritual reflection into clear, actionable guidance. Emotional Intelligence for Daily Life empowers adult readers to take control of their emotional lives, fostering deeper self-understanding, stronger relationships, and purposeful living.
This book is more than a guide—it is a roadmap for transformation, turning emotional challenges into opportunities for growth, maturity, and meaningful connection.
Book Theme
Emotional Intelligence for Daily Life
Simple Strategies to Understand Emotions, Build Self-Control, and Improve Human Relationships
This book explores how everyday emotional awareness, mindful self-regulation, and empathetic interaction can transform ordinary experiences into opportunities for personal growth and healthier human relationships.
Stephan S. also integrates biblical reflection as a way of contemplating and interpreting real-life experiences. For him, the Bible is not merely a symbolic presence or a display of faith, but a living source of moral insight that can be applied in everyday decisions, relationships, and personal struggles. He views divine grace as an unending source of strength that guides individuals through challenges, growth, and transformation in daily life.
In addition, the author’s approach is strengthened by insights from modern psychology and evidence-based perspectives on emotional well-being. The themes presented in this book are not only reflective but also grounded in practical application, allowing readers to experience emotional relief, clarity, and inner balance in daily life. In moments of emotional exhaustion and inner pressure, the human soul longs for restoration and meaning—much like the image found in the Psalms: a deer longing for streams of water. This picture reflects the deep human need for renewal, where emotional healing, wisdom, and spiritual grace meet to restore strength and direction: “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God.” (Psalm 42:1).
