It consists of nine parts which cover the main aspects of decision support such as analysis, predictive, mathematical, algorithmic, operational, and economic. The methods developed in this book are based on optimization, graph theory, combinatorics, game theory, control theory, probability and statistics, simulation, stochastic processes, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, fuzzy set theory and mathematical modelling. Its outcomes can be implemented for analysis and prediction in different areas of human activities such as management, economics, knowledge extraction from big data, system control, cyber security, medicine, engineering, and politics. This book can be a good support for decision makers, R&D departments, and researchers in related fields.
Fazia Bedouhene received her M.Sc. and Magister degrees in Operations Research and Optimization from Mouloud Mammeri University of Tizi-Ouzou (UMMTO), Algeria, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from UMMTO in 2004 and completed her habilitation in 2007. She began her academic career as Assistant Professor (2000–2007), became Associate Professor (2007–2011), and became Full Professor in December 2011. Since then, she has held several pedagogical, scientific, and administrative positions at UMMTO. She has served as President of the Scientific Committee of the Mathematics Department (2011–2014), head of the doctoral program in Mathematical Analysis and Applications (2015–2017), head of the master’s program in the same field (2018–2021), and Director of the Laboratoire de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (2019–2022). She was a member of the Scientific Council (2018–2021), Vice Dean for Post-Graduation, Scientific Research, and External Relations of the Faculty of Sciences (2021–2024), and member of the Board of Trustees (2021–2024). She is currently a member of the Regional University Habilitation Commission (since 2022). She has supervised over 15 doctoral theses and her research activities include participation in projects such as an Erasmus collaboration with the University of Rouen-Normandie (2020–2022) and a PNR project coordinated by USTHB (2011–2013).
Hacène Belbachir is a Professor of Mathematics at USTHB. He obtained his D.E.S. (Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieur) in Mathematics with a specialization in Probability and Statistics in 1991 at USTHB. He earned a Magistère in Algebra and Number Theory in 1994 at USTHB, another Magistère in Economics and Applied Statistics in 1996 at ENSSEA (formerly known as INPS), and his Doctorate in Combinatorial Number Theory at USTHB in 2007. From 2009 to 2016, he was responsible for Scientific Indicators and later for Research Programming, Evaluation, and Prospective at the DGRDST (Direction Générale de la Recherche Scientifique et du Développement Technologique). He served as the Director of CERIST (Centre de Recherche sur l’Information Scientifique et Technique) from 2019 to 2023 and as the Director of the RECITS Laboratory (Recherche Opérationnelle, Combinatoire, Informatique Théorique et Modélisation Stochastique) from 2019 to 2022, where he currently leads the CATI team (Combinatoire, Arithmétique et Informatique Théorique). He is an associate member of LF2MI (Laboratoire International de Mathématiques et de ses Interactions) and LITIS Laboratory (Laboratoire d'Informatique, de Traitement de l'Information et des Systèmes) at the University of Rouen. During the initial six months of its establishment, he launched and managed the National Higher School of Mathematics (NHSM) in Sidi Abdellah. Furthermore, he is the president of the national committee for scientific olympiads at the Algerian Ministry of National Education and coordinator of the Mathematical Olympiad.
Moussa Larbani received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics, majoring in operations research, from the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumedienne (USTHB), Algiers, Algeria in 1985, and his Ph.D. in ordinary differential equations and optimal control from Odesa National University, Odesa, Ukraine in 1991. He started his academic career at the University Mouloud Mammeri of Tizi-Ouzou (UMMTO), Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, from 1991 to 2001. He became an Associate Professor in 1998. Then he joined the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM ) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2001 to 2006. He spent 1 year at Kainan University, Taoyuan, in Taiwan as a visiting Associate Professor, then joined again IIUM where he became a professor in 2010. He left IIUM in August 2015 to join Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada as a contract professor. Recently, in 2022, he started working as a permanent Associate Professor at the National Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ENSSEA), Koléa, Algeria. His current research interests include game theory, multiple-criteria decision-making under uncertainty, and Habitual Domain theory. Dr. Larbani has made a significant contribution to the theory of second-order games and the theory of decision-making in changeable spaces. He is versatile in research; his research work scope encompasses many different areas such as decision-making under uncertainty, game theory, multiple-criteria decision-making, supply chain management, artificial intelligence, efficiency, finance, and statistics. Most of his research outcomes are published in specialized and reputable journals. Moreover, he taught many mathematics and operational research courses at different levels (graduate, postgraduate, MBA, and DBA), supervised many students for Ph.D. and master’s degrees, and contributed to many research projects. He also gave many keynote talks at international conferences.

on which you or a third party nominated by you, which is not the carrier, had taken possession of the last product, provided you had ordered several products within the scope of a standard order and these products are delivered separately;
on which you or a third party nominated by you, which is not the carrier, had taken possession of the last part delivery or the last unit, provided you had ordered a product, which is delivered in several part deliveries or units;
In order to exercise your revocation right, you must inform us (Moluna GmbH, Münsterstr. 105, 48268 Greven, Telephone number: 02571/5 69 89 33, Fax number: 02571/5 69 89 30, E-Mail address: abe@moluna.de) of your decision to revoke this contract by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent via post, fax or email). You can use the enclosed specimen revocation form for this, which however is not mandatory.
In order to safeguard the revocation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification about the exercise of the revocation right before the expiry of the revocation period.
Consequences of the revocation
If you revoke this contract, we shall repay all the payments, which we received from you, including the delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs, which arise from that fact that you selected a form of delivery other than the most reasonable standard delivery offered by us), immediately and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which we received the notification about the revocation of this contract from you. We use the same means of payment, which you had originally used during the original transaction, for this repayment unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; you will not be charged any fees owing to this repayment.
We can refuse the repayment until the products are returned to us or until you have furnished evidence that you have sent the products back to us, depending on whichever is earlier.
You must return or transfer the products to us immediately and, in any case, at the latest within 14 days with effect from the day on which you inform us of the revocation of this contract. The deadline is maintained if you send the products before the expiry of the 14 day deadline.
You bear the direct costs for returning the products.
You must pay for any depreciation of the products only if this depreciation can be attributed to any handling with you that was not necessary for checking the condition, features and functionality of the products.
Criteria for exclusion or expiry
The revocation right is not available for contracts
for delivery of products, which are not prefabricated and for whose manufacturing an individual selection or stipulation by the consumer is important or which are clearly tailored to the personal requirements of the consumer;
for delivery of products, which can spoil quickly or whose use-by date would be exceeded quickly;
for delivery of alcoholic drinks, whose price was agreed at the time of concluding the contract, which however can be delivered 30 days after the conclusion of the contract at the earliest and whose current value depends on the fluctuations in the market, on which the entrepreneur has no influence;
for delivery of newspapers, periodicals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts.
The revocation right expires prematurely in case of contracts
for delivery of sealed products, which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after the delivery;
for delivery of products if they have been mixed inseparably with other goods after the delivery, owing to their condition;
