Paperback. In contemporary Islamic discourse, embryology forms part of the field of bioethical research. Modern medical techniques and ongoing progress not only bring new possibilities but also require in-depth bioethical and legal examination, particularly when it comes to questions concerning the beginning of life. In Islamic discourse, it is the task of scholars, together with medical professionals, ethicists and other representatives of the field of bioethics, to find common ground and solutions to problematic issues. This book compares both Sunni and Shia perspectives and demonstrates how Islamic scholars are linking traditional Islamic views on embryology with modern thinking. This item is printed on demand.
