Elusion, Originally published under the pseudonym Louise King in the Anthology "Leading Ladies: Four Fairy Tales Retold".

When the crown of Navarre unexpectedly falls into Genevieve Bourbon's hands, she finds herself embroiled in a battle of wits with her step-brother, Gavin. To secure the throne, Gavin needs her as his bride, but Jenny would rather die than marry the man she suspects of killing her father, the King.

Under the cloak of night, she embarks on a perilous mission to her cousin in France--the only person she knows she can trust. En route, disguised as a boy, she is captured by the foreboding Duc de St. Aignan when she tries to steal food from his campfire in the dead of night.

As his army takes her further from the threat of her homeland, Jenny finds herself falling for this mysterious man and his unusual ways. Countries soon clash as her battle lands on his doorstep, and Jenny fears their fragile love will not survive...
