Rather early, this book has a detailed blind-stamping on its cover, and gold titles on the spine. A domestic novel with lots of dialogue and domestic life events. It is the 2nd of 20 or more "Elsie" titles by this prolific author. Just a couple smudges on the opening pages, and a presentation inscription on the front free endpaper. Reddish-brown cloth binding, high spots on the front panel show a touch of rubbing. this long-running series was reprinted by Burt and Grosset in the 20th century.
