Print on Demand. This book provides the substance of what distinguished Greek and Roman masters have taught on the subject of eloquence by examining principles of Classical rhetoric. The author consulted writings of Aristotle, Longinus, Cicero, Quintilian, and more, to organize all the important ideas of these rhetorical masters. Rhetorical devices such as arguments from reason, morals, and the affections are examined, along with the three types of orations: Demonstrative, Deliberative, and Judicial. By organizing classical ideas into a compact, easy-to-understand format, this book makes the study of rhetoric accessible for students and others pursuing eloquence. The result is a valuable contribution to the existing supply of standard school books. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

And in his three books, De Oratore and other rhetorical productions, he attributes the highest commendation to these distinguished orators.
