Print on Demand. This book introduces Euclid's concepts of geometry, starting with the most basic definitions and progressing to cover more complex theorems. He begins by defining a point as having no magnitude, a line as length without breadth, and a surface as having only length and breadth. He then uses these definitions to derive theorems about the properties of geometric figures, such as the Pythagorean theorem and the fact that the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
