Everyone knows.
Even if you know absolutely nothing about it, you still know its name and where it is. It’s one of the most famous and feared demons in the world, after all.
Xan was 8 when her parents sent her to the LEFP, the largest prison around. But, she’s 100% innocent. Especially since she’s never left her room. Everyone knows a dirty secret about her that she doesn’t. But what if, just maybe, it’s that she’s the vessel for the Dragon Of The Mist?
Jay has been at the LEFP since he was 7, never dropping a word about what happened to put him in. He tries to move on and put all of that mess behind him. But he has gallons of blood on his hands that won’t wash off. So what happened?
Rowan is in the same boat, but on the other end. At 8, he drowned his parents. Everyone knows about that. He’s honest, daring, and loud. Either you hear about it through the grapevine or he tells you himself. But what if he’s lying? What if that’s not what happened?
Lijin bounced around between 3 different lives and families before he landed a place as Xan’s personal guard. And he’s just a guard. Nothing more. Sure, he knows a little more than he lets on, but he’s only her guard. Right?
When Xan’s body starts to tear itself apart from the inside out, the Dragon Of The Mist clawing its way to the surface, Rowan, Jay, and Lijin are tasked with keeping her alive. But if time isn’t in your favor, a psychotic scientist wants you dead, and everyone has a secret they’re desperately trying to protect, how far are you willing to go to save the demon girl?
And, better yet, is it even possible?
