For courses in Electronics Projects and Survey of Electronics in departments of Electronic Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology.
This text fills a fundamental void in electronics programs and better prepares new graduates for their first electronic projects on the job. The strategies established in the text will supply graduates with practical tools that will enhance their ability to perform. The text accomplishes this by reviewing the operations of a company, discussing teamwork and the role of the Electronics Professional, presenting methods of Project Management, defining an Engineering Problem Solving process, and discussing the practical aspects of an electronics project. Unlike existing texts, Electronics: Project Design and Management covers material as a project completed in a professional environment with specific applications of concurrent engineering principles.

From the Back Cover
The primary goal of this text is to better prepare electronics students for their first job and to supply them with the practical tools that will enhance their ability to perform. The text was developed using the author's industry and teaching experience, and it has been class-tested for over two years by the author.
Key Features and Benefits:
- The information is discussed as an actual design project is completed.
This project is used as an ongoing example throughout the text. - Each chapter begins with an introduction highlighting the topics to be covered, including in-chapter examples, and containing end-of-chapter summaries and problems to check for understanding.
- The text covers a six-step process for solving engineering problems that provides a logical sequence for students to follow when they develop a project in the electronics field.
- A free 120-day evaluation version of Microsoft Project 2000 is packaged with each text. Readers have an opportunity to practice using Microsoft Project with chapter exercises, enabling them to become conversant with this powerful project management software tool.
